Secondland
In my graduation project, I present the upcycled fashion brand Secondland. And my graduation collection is the brand’s image collection. This collection is created with upcycling that characterizes the brand, using vintage clothes, deadstock and household textiles. The style, colour and design of the brand have an impact on the collection. Each outfit is unique and unrepeatable as the raw material is used and limited in quantity. The print inspiration of the collection is a floral pattern of my great-grandmother's pillowcase, which I bring back with various decorative techniques applied on the upcycled garments. It gives voice to my heritage, which has always had a big impact on my design process. The collection also reflects on the game I used to play as a kid when I put my mother’s clothes on. This game inspired the oversized silhouettes and the draping technique in the collection.
