Openness of studio space at MOME
The focus of the dissertation is the the environmental psychological, architectural and pedagogical analysis of the studio space on the 3rd floor of the new MOME campus MASTER building. Through literature research and students ’experiences of space use, I have tried to do a preliminary research outlining key aspects that can help further research on the topic. I dealt with issues such as changes in the role and history of the school building in education, its open role and extent in educational spaces and their effects, the link between architectural trends and pedagogy, or the value and significance of participation and representation in the school building planning process. The goal of the dissertation is to emphasize the importance of the topic and the as of the dialogue by formulating critical ideas about space.
