THE XIX. CENTURY PAINTING AND THE MODERN VIDEO GAMES FEMALE CHARACTERS COMPARING ANALYSIS
The purpose of my thesis is to compare the XIX. century modernist painter’s characters to the present videogame characters, to observe and introduce the role and presence of the archytypes. Nowadays the videogame culture is getting more popular and accepted due to the spreading of PCs and the Internet, however the examination of the Internet’s content is more rare in social media. The archetypes have similar meanings but time intervals, trends or creators can project new symbolism and give new meaning to them. While in the XIX. century the impression of art has only affected a small social strata, in contrast to video games in modern society which can influence today and next generation’s mindset, personality, opinions, values, preferences etcetera. Therefore it’s very important how we portray each character, and story. We have to take it to consideration when making a female character for example how we should present her inner and outer attributions and which ones are more important.

Terminus
Storylines in videogames are usually very black and white. The player isnt able to choose between options, or if they can the decision is still just an illusion it doesn’t have any consequences. In my masterwork I’m designing a fictional game character who’s appearence can change into five different looks according to the player’s decisions. The final forms are inspired by animal species: reptiles, marine life, predators, , herbivores and insects.
