In my thesis I wrote about hoarding. This is a relevant and personal topic for me. I began by the psychological approach. I was interested in finding out when is hoarding abnormal. Then I looked at it from philosophical perspective. For example why is mass production problematic and what is the difference between trash and waste. Furthermore I researched works of art and different artistic directions regarding this topic. How do artists like Christian Boltanski or Ilya Kabatov express themselves throughout objects. The work arrives to the conclusion that hoarding can not only be a psycholcical symptom but can be interpreted as an artistic practice.
