With my diploma project I designed a ceramic tableware collection for the Embassy of Hungary in The Hague. The gastronomy in diplomacy is characterized by fine dining trends in the level of serving, materials and ingredients. In my diploma thesis my goal is to map and summarize the typical gastronomy, object culture, functionality, and contemporary needs that appear in the field of serving. With my tableware design I solve current serving difficulties of the chefs working in Missions by creating easy-to-combine, clean surfaces that encourage creativity and give space for free work. The tableware concept has a narrative side. It deals with the worldwide outstanding Hungarian medicinal water culture. The shape of the pieces evokes different water surfaces and wave movements refers to medicinal waters hidden in the glaze.
