Can a curator be considered a manager? Haunting me since my admission to the MA programme, this question is finally being answered by my graduation project and thesis which focus on an exhibition that I organize, with each step of the project, from the conception to the realization, documented as a diary in my thesis. Akin to a project management process, the implementation of the exhibition has been repeatedly affected by curatorial and art theoretical questions as much as decisions, implying that the managerial vs. curatorial components are, at least in my experience, hardly separable in practice.
