Finding a balance in the operation and production of the fashion industry
In my thesis, I conduct research on the state of sustainable balance within fashion and textile industry. I also introduce the effects of globalization which has resulted in divide and contrast in both society and in the world of fashion as well. In order to draw attention to the importance of locality, I have contrasted the exploitative methods of oriental production and the work manufactured by fast fashion with the rich, authentic cultures of the eastern handicrafts. In my opinion, the fashion industry is a complex, multi-factorial system that affects a large quantity of people, which has taken advantage of several components of globalization and corrupted them so much that the doubts about sustainable marked areas of fashion being able to be sustainable, will also be discussed in my thesis. After mentioning the various methods and dilemmas of sustainable manufacturing, I will answer the main question and topic of my thesis: does sustainable manufacturing really exists in the fashion and in the textile manufacturing?

Finding Balance
The concept of my master collection was born in me during my trip to the Far East, inspired by the concept of BALANCE. Finding balance has been central to my life ever since, and I want to create that state in my collection, both in terms of workmanship, visuals, and material use. The harmonious application of contrasts, such as the encounter of 100% recyclable man-made fiber materials with biodegradable natural textiles, or the pairing of patterned and natural surfaces, is also an important part of my design. Craftsmanship is represented by structures made of knitted materials, and factory processes are represented by digitally printed surfaces. With my collection, I want to show an alternative to conscious design that creates sustainable, wearable and multifunctional clothing.
