Insider vs. Outsider. Urban Image of China in the Eyes of Western and Chinese Photographers
Hundreds of photographers, if not thousands, have carried projects of photographing urban images of China. For the sake of socio-economic change in the past 30 years in China, artists tried to understand and define urbanization in their way. This thesis aims to investigate what was overlooked and preserved during this phenomenal change through the work of Western and Chinese photographers.

Úton hazafelé
Úton hazafelé című sorozatomban szülővárosomhoz, a délnyugat-kínai Chuxiong-hoz fűződő személyes viszonyomat vizsgálom. Szülővárosom sorsa megegyezik sok más kínai városéval: az óváros egy részét elbontják, majd helyére egy új üzleti negyedet építenek. Ez a több színtéren is zajló drámai átalakulás az emberek életére is hatással van. Fotósorozatom metaforák segítségével meséli el a város, a lakói és az ő emlékezetük történetét. Az elbeszélés négy egymásba fonódó fejezetben a város átalakulását követi nyomon, emellett megjelennek a múlt féltve őrzött emlékei, az emberek életében tapasztalt fordulatok, az önazonosság keresésének kérdései - majd az évekig tartó távollét után az újbóli találkozás a családommal, hogy a változás szemtanúja legyek. Az „Úton hazafelé” arra a kérdésre keresi a választ, hogy mit jelképez ez a jelenleg tapasztalható változás: a múlttal való teljes szakítást vagy a Kínai Álom által ígért fényes jövőt?
