Game and Education
My thesis' purpose is to conduct research for my graduation project: developing a game that helps with studying chemistry. I study the interactive game's role in learning with the help of literature in the relevant field. My thesis will start with the definition of game, what it means, then I review the more general genres of games and their latent developmental effect. Then, I'll examine popular games, like Lego, Minecraft, etc, to understand how a game could cultivate unnoticed learning. Later I'll review different learning methods, specifically for methodologies that allow for interactive, playful discovery with the inclusion of tactile objects. I'll examine the STEM and STEAM methodology, like the innovative methodology of educational natural science. I'll also take a look into what partial skills has the digitalisation has promoted or encumbered. Lastly I'll review how these encumbered, set back partial skills can be maintained. With all of these I'd like to find answer to how can chemistry study be implanted into playful learning and taking into consideration peer educational environment as a complex whole.

For my graduation project I’m planning the development and creation a chemistry educational game, which could be integrated into public education. With this game the player can improve their logical skills and spatial vision. For many scientific subject, chemistry among them, is a hard subject, but with the rapid development of technology and time these disciplines become more and more important. With my master thesis I’d like to make chemistry more loveable and digestible.
