Borderline between art and design
Art plays an important role, performing many public functions. It provides social ideological influence, transforms social reality. Compensates the lack of beauty and harmony in everyday life. In addition to casual functional furniture, it is therefore essential to have a progressive aspect of the design that initiates a conversation between people and highlights social and global problems. The aim of my degree project is to create a furniture collection that follows non-traditional design methods, an experimental design. During the process, the inherent idea adds the guiding thread to the design. For this reason, in my thesis I examine the borderline of contemporary art and design. The reader of the thesis could meet the terms of functional art and collectible design and movements like Memphis and Morph, and designers like Ettore Sottsass or OrtaMiklos. From the past till nowadays thier works and attitude made a radical change in the world of design.

Boulders with fluffy feelings
The aim of my masterpiece was to create a furniture collection that not only follows traditional design methods, but shows a more radical side of design with a new artistic character. An experimental design in which the inherent thought gives the design the guideline. The design process was inspired by dual feeling stemming from my personal stories, but by the fact that an ancient formation is made of new modern material and has an ordinary function, it also reflects the dualities and divisions of our time. Emotions are coupled with elements highlighted from nature, and forms and materials are abstracted into functional objects through them.
