A research on the market opportunities of a contemporary arts entrepreneurship
Young artists can often feel defeated after concluding their studies: having obtained their arts degree, they come to realize that they never acquired the proper strategies to find their clientele and successfully market their work. In my thesis I aim to discover whether a new gallery offering the work of young upcoming artists can subsist in Budapest, with an objective to bridge the gap between supply and demand by introducing the work of fresh artistic minds to novel collectors. My thesis examines the creative economy through economic model analyses and in-depth interviews conducted with professionals involved in the arts industry.
