Many times we find ourselves in a situation where the sight of time becomes a hindrance. We watch it constantly even when it is not needed, thereby increasing the amount of stress, negative associations, anxiety, and a feeling of discomfort. The external compulsion of time conveyed by clocks has been transformed into its own internal compulsion. The aim of the project Ti’m out is to raise awareness of this problem – which affects everyone – in a playful, non-educational way. The project also shows how it is possible to break free of the stress caused of the sight of time. Its focus is on individually malleable time, intervention in the static system and the manipulation of the personal sense of time. Everyone sees time in a different form; the process is relative and emotional. Therefore, with the help of twenty-four instructions for use, it serves as a guide on how to manipulate the negative psychological effects conveyed by the sight of time, twenty-four hours a day.
