Come Home
As with many houses, many customs and many families there are patterns. We inherit our destiny from our ancestors, carry and pass it on.
In my series, I deal with the fate sprung from my own family, which I feel most condensed in my relationship with my mother. So now, as an adult, I am working to recognize those traits I received from, and since, childbirth in an effort to try to not carry them forward anymore. Facing this problem I try to extract my own poison.
There is a sense of immutability but a desire for change in my spiritual baggage. I want to crack open the immutability and to dig deep into this package. However, it is not enough for me to decide on my own. I felt the need to go back to my childhood home with my mother, to work with her on our inherited destiny.
thesis
How do we find our place? Alternative ways of creating a home
In my thesis, I deal with different components of the concept of home, both psychologically and physically. I start the topic with the development of trust and then list the different pillars of the development of a sense of home. I draw parallels between the series of contemporary photographers, the empirical stories of those around me, and psychoanalytic books. I also examine how photographers of different sexes and life situations express their presence at home, and how the physical and emotional attachment of the interviewed people to the home is comparable to psychoanalysis and how it can be visually supported. I conducted interviews in which I asked people about creating a home who have known that they have had a special relationship with their own home or place of residence for a long time.
