masterwork
The aim of my masterwork is to explore and represent the structure of clothing. The formal inspiration for my collection comes from the metal frame furniture of Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata. The unique lines of the artist’s furniture are echoed in the pattern lines, which aim to create new forms and unconventional tailoring.
The parts sliding away from each other refer to the method of assembly, also emphasising the construction of the garment.

The Unveiled Structure
The Expression of the Structure in Various Artistic Projects
In my thesis I present projects and works of art whose structure gives them their aesthetics, which make the viewer think and reflect. My aim is to present as many examples as possible based on this idea. To show the different ways of structure, their meanings, and the reactions they provoke. In my research, I thought it was important to present projects that are different because of the source of their artistic sector, or even because of the different ways in which they present structure. I am looking for these different aesthetic solutions that result from the heterogeneous ways in which structure is applied. The visible structure is sincere, it does not want to show itself as something else, it presents a sobering spectacle. It serves as a kind of education, for getting behind technological solutions and artificiality. But what meaning can such a revealing work of art carry? How does it bring us closer or further away from understanding the work of art? How, through what means does the work arouse interest and how does it make itself understood? How does it engage with the viewer? How can we relate to it?
