’Invented tradition’ is taken to mean a set of practices which seek to inculcate certain values and norms of behavior by repetition, which automatically implies continuity with the past. The purpose of the theory is to examine its special role in alternate methods reinforcing political and social identities. Trying to reveal the connections between such diverse topics, this text deals with specific examples of the so called invented traditions.
