In my thesis, I am studying contemporary cinema's representations of how the modern man relates to nature, a place that they are constantly craving for from their rigid urban environment, but where they experience threat and fear when getting there.

For years, in my photography, I have been exploring the contrast between city and wildlife, and the hopelessness of escaping from the urban ambience to nature. Nowadays, we are fully removed from and unfamiliar with nature, and so we tend to attribute unreal notions to this unknown. We can only roam between these two worlds.
