The metal structures of old billboards reinterpret the view like drawing machines. Their interest lies not in what they show, but what they conceal. Where there seems to be nothing, the frame - like an open window - creates an image, claiming that in fact there is something to see, that you only need a frame to produce a picture. The view hidden by the billboard becomes the image itself.
