Masterwork

ENCLOSURE

My masterwork examines how human presence becomes observable and exhibitable through a space modelled on a zoo enclosure: for five days, the artist lives in a human enclosure constructed within a street-facing gallery space.
Thesis

Cage of Interpretation. Examining the Zoo from the Perspectives of Installation Art and Performance

My thesis examines the zoo as a culturally constructed, spatially and aesthetically organised medium from the perspectives of installation art and performance theory, with particular attention to how it shapes the perception of nature through the human gaze and structures of power.
