The Representation of Mental Illness, Anxiety and Depression in Independent Feature Films for Adult Audience
In my thesis, I examine how three contemporary auteur animated feature films represent mental illness, focusing on whether these portrayals are realistic, positive or stigmatising, and the cinematic techniques used to convey them.
