A little boy, bored with building a bed, longs for something more exciting. A tiny fire creature gets him into mischief, and despite his father's attempts to put a stop to it, the boy follows his new friend into a magical mushroom world where anything is possible.

The thesis analyzes the development of the child’s psyche from preschool to early school age through folktales, and animated films, focusing on the integration of the id and Oedipal conflicts.
