In my diploma project, I created an absurd group of objects by exploring the relationship of people with eating disorders (in particular anorexia nervosa) to food and eating and the associated behaviours, interpreting and highlighting their typical elements. Through the design of tableware that redefines function, my aim was to understand and present the mental processes and thoughts associated with eating through objects to raise awareness, point out the significance of the problem and encourage people to approach people with these disorders with empathy.
