Education through art: opportunities for developing self-awareness in high school
My thesis explores the psychological, social psychological and system-level regulatory elements of self-awareness development in high school students through literature review. It also assesses the ethical and other boundaries of teachers and presents the analysis of a survey of students’ opinions. As a result, I propose self-awareness development task ideas designed specifically for high school students. As for methodology, these tasks use elements from education through art, in particular elements from visual arts and drama pedagogy.
