The circumstances and reality of object creation in public education
The development of plastic skills does not end with the completion of preschool. School years are particularly suitable for children to discover new materials, tools, and techniques, thereby increasing their confidence, developing their technological knowledge, and spatial abilities. In my thesis, I examine the possibilities of object design in school education. To explore the topic, I conduct literature review and empirical research to examine the psychological and pedagogical aspects, as well as the effects of object creation from the perspective of developmental psychology. Through the 2020 National Core Curriculum, I analyse the status of object and environmental culture in public education. Finally, I conduct in-depth interviews with teachers from three public education institutions in Pécs, exploring the reality of object creation and spatial creation in schools.
