My winding journey in the music industry

My portfolio focuses on music, my almost decade-long career as a musician, music manager, concert and festival promoter. During my 9-year career, I have had the opportunity to be involved in 7 different formations as a musician and have performed in over 350 gigs, most of which I have organised and managed myself. As a composer, I am responsible for the writing and publishing of 5 major and 3 minor albums. From May 2022 to October 2023, I worked as the programme manager of Központ Club, and I was involved both times in the organisation of the joint festival of MOME and the Hungarian House of Music, Intermezzo, as a music curator. From autumn 2022 I spent a semester in Athens studying photography, which led me to become active as a photographer there and in the Budapest underground music scene, exploring new perspectives. Since October 2023 I have been working as the tour manager of Jazzbois, the most internationally acclaimed contemporary Hungarian underground band.
thesis

The challenges of music management in the Hungarian underground scene

The aim of my thesis is to describe the contemporary underground music scene in Hungary, to examine the changes that have taken place over the last few years and to outline the challenges I have encountered in my work in this segment. The presentation of these challenges is not focused on the problems or factors outside our control but aims to provide guidance in a specific area which is largely uncharted, has no single set of rules. Each situation requires a unique approach and approach, and due to our rapidly changing world, the scene is changing day by day. My observations and conclusions are based on my experience of 9 years as an active composer, performer and manager in the domestic music industry and on interviews with several prominent representatives of the profession.
