Anthropological and semantic interpretations of shopwindows
I examine the shopwindows and display mannequins in the Westend Shopping Centre to explore cultural layers and their connections. In my research I focus on the visual appearance and the quality of the anthropomorphic mannequins, as well as their relationship to their environment, analysing their variety and diversity. My findings show a variety and diversity of the display mannequins in the shopping centre, which is the result of the combination of the past, DIY creativity and the functionality of modern design.
