Immigrants at school: challenges and perspectives

School integration of the children in families that moved abroad – difficulties and supporting strategies

The aim of my thesis is to draw attention to the importance of the successful school integration of children who have moved abroad, highlighting the challenges of multiculturalism within the education system, both in the lives of immigrant children and their teachers. This is because besides the children, the quality of the education system, psychological processes, intercultural perspectives, and the teachers are also important factors in this process. Understanding personal and societal aspects, as well as harnessing the potential of education through art can help us support children's development and integration in school effectively. The study suggests that education systems and policymakers should prioritize support and development for teachers, as their well-being and attitudes are crucial to the successful development and integration of children.
