Grid-net-glass

Glass luminaire for exposed concrete circulation areas

My masterwork is based on the solutions of patterns and structures created during material experiments with wire and glass. The aim was to design and model a glass luminaire for indoor use. In the object, I highlight the properties of wire and glass, adapting them to the chosen space.

Glass in space

Transparent surfaces in contemporary interior design

In my thesis I focus on glass as a special material as I explore interior design examples from Hungary and define thematic groups for classification. As I present and analyse various works, I focus on the role of glass in space, its presence and its boundaries, and on the visual forms and effects that have been created with glass from the 1920s and 30s to the present day. My aim is to draw conclusions from the artistic examples and use them to get closer to designing and implementing my own interior design solutions. Glass in interior design has a number of visual forms, types and functions and creates a peculiar, mystical and sometimes even sacral atmosphere in space.
