Understanding ourselves and the world through action
Integrating puppet play and drama pedagogy into visual culture lessons
This thesis examines the possibilities of integrating puppet play and drama into visual culture education for adolescent students. The qualitative research is based on case studies of three thematic lesson plans and a conflict resolution workshop. The aim of the research is to explore the pedagogical values of puppet play, the development of students' creativity and problem-solving skills, and the importance of aesthetic education. Experience-based education, particularly pedagogical puppet play, can be an effective tool in motivating students, alleviating their anxiety, and fostering interdisciplinary education.
