Creating experience and value through cultural event management

The majority of my professional experiences revolve around cultural event organization and festival management. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to try myself in various fields: in the first few months of my master's program, I gained experience in the communication of contemporary dance productions, then I assisted in organizing festivals with different profiles. I dealt with coordinating sustainable programs, organizing concerts and street theatre productions, and also led volunteers at a contemporary art festival. Currently, I work in a nonprofit cultural institution where I can utilize all the organizational and communication knowledge I have gathered over the past two years.

How long can we go to music clubs in the countryside?

The situation of music clubs operating in the countryside is becoming increasingly difficult year by year, thus limiting the options for those interested in live music events when it comes to program selection. My thesis examines the factors that have influenced the operation of rural popular music clubs over the past 5 years. How do clubs cope with phenomena such as the rise of streaming services and social media, and how can they adapt to changes in consumer habits due to COVID and inflation? The question is approached through Hungarian and global music industry reports, studies, and semi-structured in-depth interviews.
