portfolio
From theory to practice
This portfolio lists my professional activities along three main lines. Before the MA programme, my projects and studies were linked to art theory that was the main area of my interests, but after a few years of experience, my focus shifted to communication, event management and graphic design. During my time at MOME, I had the opportunity to gain experience in festival organisation and deepened my knowledge of communication and graphic design. Both my main and side projects are based around these areas, and my portfolio aims to show the connections between these fields of work.
thesis
Contemporary curatorial practices in digital media
In my thesis I explore the relation between curatorial practices in the online space and the shift of creative processes to social media sites. My research focuses on the examination of the platform Instagram, considering its problems, its impacts and its future perspectives on curatorial practices. Through interviews with four contemporary artists and the analysis of their social media sites, I draw conclusions about the ways they use these platforms and how these processes fit into the art world.
