The aim of my thesis is to give a deeper insight into the creative processes of certain contemporary applied artists and the different technologies they use, as well as the role of chance, experimentation, and conscious design in their art. My research also aims to illustrate the relationship between porcelain and the artists featured in my thesis, focusing on the unconventional techniques they use. The present collection is a useful aid for young ceramic artists who are still unsure about their knowledge of materials: those who want to expand their knowledge towards alternative solutions and learn about how other contemporary artists approach the material creatively.
