In my thesis I seek to explore whether the moving picture possesses a personality shaping aspect. I examine the reception and personal experience of the work, the narrative role of the psychological tools of motion picture, and their impact on the viewer or receiver. I touch upon the links between psychology and film, from both cultural and scientific perspectives. I also explore the experience of art through scientific literature, as well as through individual research.
