My thesis examines Sebastião Salgado's latest work, Amazônia, tracing my analysis back to the colonial worldview. In my research, I am therefore mainly looking for aesthetic traces of anthropological and colonial photography in his images. I test my hypothesis and expand my analysis with issues such as the problem of exoticisation and the appearance of white supremacy.
