My thesis first approaches the subject of impostor syndrome with a general theoretical overview. After defining the phenomenon and clarifying the main concepts related to the topic, I look for the causes of it and explore the links between impostorism and a creative personality. Through my own personal experience, I illustrate some of the manifestations of the impostor phenomenon among artists. I seek to verify my assumptions and conclusions, drawn on the basis of these experiences and the literature review, through a survey questionnaire.
