In my thesis I explore the social reality in the 1970s through the animated movie Habfürdő (Bubble Bath) by György Kovásznai. My aim is to explore how the clear, documentarist intent of the creator is represented in the film, what social and economic problems he tries to present consciously and how these correspond to the discourse about the everyday phenomena of the era. In my analysis I examine the unique musical and visual world supporting this sociographic intent, and I explore the potential reasons for the negative reception of the film at the time of its release.
