An art manager in the film industry
All of the internship experience that I gained while completing my Master's studies has been centred around motion picture. Within the university I built a fruitful relationship with the Animation department, and stepping out into the film industry I partnered up with JUNO11 Pictures, a production company with whom we are currently preparing our third feature film. The projects in my portfolio catapulted me from production assistant to production manager, and my graduation film helped me join the production team of an international co-production feature film. My work experience provided an in-depth overview of how the Hungarian film industry works, from script development to distribution. Armed with my professional experience and a Master's degree, I intend to try myself as a junior producer as the next step of my career journey.

The position of creative producer in the contemporary Hungarian film industry
While the presence of the creative producer is globally on the rise in the audiovisual sector, in Hungary we rarely encounter this position on the feature film scene. Although domestic industry professionals admit that creativity is an intrinsic part of a producer's role, I suspect that the deep-rooted cult of authorship and the local financing system that preserves the work for hire approach, suppresses the unfolding of the creative producer's role. At the same time there is a heightened need to stand out on the international film scene, a market that is shaped by dynamic trends. With the help of Hungarian producers that take an active part in shaping domestic film culture, my semi-structured, interview-driven research seeks to understand how creative professionals that consider filmmaking a cultural product are regarded, given that they have a deep understanding of both the market and the art scene; in other words, they participate in filmmaking as creative producers.
