My masterwork is an experimental idiophone instrument based on the South African mbira. Alongside the prevailing Western European tuning system that is predominantly used today, there are numerous other alternative temperaments that exist. However, these are often not easily achievable, if at all, on most of the instruments we commonly use. My instrument offers a solution that addresses this situation.
