My masterwork addresses the issue of nighttime navigation in our homes. My design goal was not to create yet another new product, but to add an extra function to an existing night light. I designed the Nilu lamp using innovative solutions. It is a magnetically rechargeable and touch-controlled portable night light.

Fear of the dark
My thesis examines our relationship to the environment, exploring fears of what may be lurking in the background when we lose our visual perception. It studies the effect that darkness has on humans, and how different cultures relate to the phenomenon. In the course of my research I consulted the available literature and also collected my own data set. I apply my conclusions to the design of interior spaces.
