Writing as an art and design management tool
I have spent the past three years figuring out how to best combine the knowledge provided by the MOME Design Culture BA and the Art and Design Management MA. I have always been interested in writing and the world of magazines, so it was my express purpose to put myself to the test as an art and design journalist and editor iduring my internships. I have worked in branding agencies and editorial offices, and as a freelance journalist, copywriter, and professional translator. My childhood dream of creating my own magazine has come to the surface again. With that in mind, after a while I consciously started lining up projects that would provide me with relevant experience to one day become an editor in chief. Out of my multifarious areas of interest I increasingly started turning towards interior design and architecture.

IPARTERV: Industrial building design and beyond
The state of Hungary's post-WWII industrial architecture and possibilities for reuse
What state is the modern Hungarian industrial heritage in? My research charts the reuse of the architectural heritage of the most powerful figure of socialist Hungarian industrialisation, IPARTERV
(Industrial Building Design Company).
This is a rich, unique stock of buildings in the history of Hungarian architecture from the height modernism, currently under threat of complete decay. I tried to investigate what proportion of the old buildings is still in use according to its original purpose, how many have been demolished, how many stand derelict, and how many have been recycled for a new use. The primary aim of my thesis is to create a much needed situational report, and, building on the results, sketch out a blueprint of architecture management options to recycle our modern industrial heritage in a value-conscious way.
