Ich bin bei Jules

My project titled Ich bin bei Jules is a personal initiative based on the sexual ideology and life philosophy of a man who is both a husband and a father. I created it using staged and documentary photography techniques. Jules' life is intriguing to me because he has been in an open marriage with his wife for 40 years. They have five children, who were raised in this open-minded environment, and now some of them have families of their own. By photographing Jules, his family, and his lovers, my aim was to examine an alternative relationship model and explore its impact on the family dynamics. I also sought to understand the patriarchal mindset that Jules, and many other men, embody.

Analysing the cinematography of Eric Rohmer and Ingmar Bergman films with respect to relationships

My thesis analyses the cinematography of Eric Rohmer, French director, and Ingmar Bergman, Swedish director, based on three relationship tropes: 1. Desire and jealousy, 2. Infidelity, 3. Solitude and loneliness. The thesis analyses ten films by each director to examine how they approach relationship structures and traditions.
