In my thesis, I examine the present use of World War memorials. I analyse their current natural and material environment and draw parallels with Mircea Eliade's concept of the supernatural category. Based on my experience in community planning, in addition to architectural modifications, I propose social-oriented changes for the regeneration of memorial parks.
