The topic of my thesis is the pop art period of György Kemény and the album covers he designed for the band Locomotiv GT during this period. The thesis explores the work of György Kemény, highlighting pop art, graphic design, and specifically, album cover design. In addition to examining global pop art, I examine the differences of Central and Eastern European pop art to its western counterpart.
