The topic of my thesis is the relationship between deep adaptation and architecture. I chose this topic because I believe that deep adaptation is a response that arises if economic and social systems undergo radical changes in the next twenty years. My goal is to examine architectural theories and built examples that can provide relevant answers to help rebuild communities and societies. I present the four main pillars of deep adaptation by analysing projects that offer local solutions to global problems and demonstrate a show a promise of meeting the needs of communities.
