The Technical Development of Metalworking in the Ancient Egyptian Empires

The Perception of Old Kingdom Metalworkers of the Creative Environment of Sacred Archaic Objects, Juxtaposed with Future Generations

In the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt (c. 2686-2181 BCE), the cultural creations that shaped the worldview of the time underwent various processes of artistic and technological evolution. The aim of my research is to study the legacy and losses of this era, as it laid a significant foundation for metalworking for centuries to come. I relied on the archaeological knowledge of the past two hundred years to complete the fragmented nature of the period I examined with authentic results. I explored certain areas through key pillars in order to identify focal points and draw new conclusions. My goal is to compare the systematic thinking of contemporary metalworkers with their ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom counterparts.
