The World of Sneakers: The Unity of Fashion, Culture, and Business
Over the past decades, there has been a tremendous demand for various exclusive and unique sneakers, which has significantly changed the operational mechanisms, market roles, and strategies of brands. The enormous interest in sneaker releases has also led to the growth of the secondary market and the proliferation of counterfeit products. In my thesis, I examine this process: the functioning and role of the sneaker market, supplemented by studying domestic opportunities and incorporating my own experiences.
