In my dissertation, I analyze in detail Julia Ducournau's 2021 film Titane (2021), examining its reflections on biological sex and gender roles through a comprehensive analysis. In this context, the author analyses how the filmmaker disrupts the scopophilia of the male gaze through the protagonist's character, utilising empathy as a tool to engage the viewer.
