Clothing Challenges and Social Expectations: Experiences of Rural University Students Regarding Clothing Differences Between the Capital City and Rural Areas
The topic of my thesis is how young people who move from rural areas to the capital adjust their clothing style according to whether they are in the city or visiting home. The research focuses on young individuals between the ages of 20-25 who are studying, or have completed their studies, at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Based on my own experience as a rural student, I often practice self-censorship when it comes to my clothing choices during visits home. As part of my research, I conducted a survey to assess how others perceive this phenomenon and to determine if there are others who are in a similar position to me.
