Visual Sensitivity and Balanced Composition
What makes us perceive one composition more balanced than another? In my thesis, I examine the tools for measuring visual sensitivity, as well as the factors of balanced and unbalanced composition, and the role of perception in this subject. I elaborate on the formality, role, results, and relevance of previously created tests, and analyse their visual content. The concept of striving for a harmonious composition consistently plays an important role in all the tests I examined, and this exploration was one of my main objectives. I examine the components of such a composition, how we can determine whether an image is visually balanced, and how we can create this harmony ourselves. I also analyse all of these aspects using psychological segments that study perception.
