My thesis approaches Hungarian furniture production and opportunities for designers from the perspective of the housing culture of the 1960s. I use the concept of housing culture as a reference point to understand what kind of home environment the examined social stratum was able to create for themselves, taking into account the economic and sociological conditions of the decade. Additionally, I interpret the interplay and shared social impact of architecture and furniture design.
