Women in the Contemporary Graphic Novel Scene
My thesis is about the female graphic novel scene of the 2000s with special focus on two works by Marjane Satrapi and Alison Bechdel. I am analysing their visual and verbal presentation with the conclusion that the special characteristics that made these two graphic novels a huge success lie in treating their serious topics in an exceptionally detailed and entertaining way.

Life of Matilda
Life of Matilda is an autobiographically inspired black and white graphic novel. Its main character Matilda is a fictional character. The story is about a young girl leaving her regular countryside life to experience the art scene of the big city. The topcis of the first book are family, individualism, university life and romance. Life of Madilda will include more books, for which the topics would come depending on the life of the author.
